So well situated

We had a wonderful 2 weeks in Minoustan, with everything have been thought through meticulously, as to what visitors would need. The house was so well equipped with both space and a coziness that allowed total relaxation for the whole party. Our wider family joined us for the middle weekend and close access to the airport was a real plus with no compromise to the beauty of the position of the house, being also close to charming hilltop villages and the lovely uncrowded beaches at Cagnes sur Mer. Thank you so very much

Blissful

Now that we are back from our various holidays, I wanted to tell you how much we ALL enjoyed our stay at your lovely house. We knew it was special and that we would have a great time from the brochure. It was indeed blissful! I thought it was like one of our family houses transported to the South of France, so comfortable, full of art and books and games (and videos), with a lovely pool where my grandson learnt to dive, and terraces. You have created a beautiful home. Thank you so much for sharing it with us.

Lovely property

We had a lovely stay in Minoustan. The views were stunning, the villa was incredibly well equipped and the host was very responsive. We had a brilliant holiday - and often felt torn as to whether to venture out to the beautiful surroundings or stay in and enjoy this lovely property.

Private and stylish sanctuary

We had the pleasure of staying in this very comfortable, private and stylish sanctuary for a week last September. The beautiful grounds and idyllic views kept us close to nature, whilst the spacious and chic interiors make for cosy evenings indoors. It was also very well-located for our visits to Antibes. Nice and Cannes. This was a very restorative and enjoyable week made possible by the care taken to create this very special place.

Paradise

So many wonderful personal touches make Minoustan ooze warmth and hospitality. This place has a soul. Full of charming surprises, all in impeccable taste. I love this place!

Perfect combination

We came back yesterday to a rainy Switzerland with very fond memories from our vacation “en Provence” and our stay at Minoustan. We were very comfortable and the charm of the place combined with the beautiful landscape and summer sky were just the perfect combination. That was the first time we travelled after E starting his medical treatment and it was so important for us to make it happen as a “normal family escape”. Thank you again for all your support and to Stéphanie for her kind assistance.

What a delightful place you have!

Everything worked out very well with our family trip - the pool was perfect for my little niece, and indeed all of us.

Star-studded skies of Minoustan

R: We have had a fabulous time, particularly in the last few days where the weather has been a little less sweltering. We have really enjoyed your beautiful house and pool. We have also enjoyed watching some of the old classic films on the hottest evenings.
N: Many thanks from me as well. We had a great time and really loved the villa! I am missing the view across the River Var already. The wonderful wisteria on the terrace was growing at a truly fantastic rate during our stay. I kept it trimmed to hold onto the daytime view, and we also particularly enjoyed the view of the stars as they appeared during dinner each evening. So much so, that finally I installed an app onto my phone to help identify them. We noticed a particularly bright early star low to the South/South East. The app told me it was actually the planet Mars.

So well appointed!

We had a lovely time, particularly enjoyed the pool and well-equipped kitchen (probably the best I've encountered in a number of similar villas).  We did think a few things were missing in the kitchen until near the end of the week when we noticed the 'hidden' drawer under the hob!  It was great to have UK TV too for the world cup and tennis.  We had pizzas one evening from the local place which were very tasty and good value.

Perfect week at Minoustan

Thanks for looking after us, we had a perfect week at Minoustan. We loved the location and the ease to get around the Riviera.

We really enjoyed the pool and terrace and the beautiful grounds and privacy really added to that.

We will definitely be booking Minoustan again in the future.

Thanks

Third Year in Minoustan

We are planning our third summer in this idyllic villa. Every year the decor is more stunning and the comforts greater. Nothing is too much trouble for the super professional friendly team. We had to change our holiday plans and arrive a day early. We could only get a flight that landed late in Nice. Not only could they accommodate us but we were met by a feast of roast chickens, salads, wine and cheese... A welcome to make us forget all the upheavals of the trip. Thank you Minoustan: you refresh and enchant us AGAIN and AGAIN! Bravo!

Truly Stunning

From the moment we arrived at the Villa Minoustan we knew we had struck gold. The Villa feels like a home not a rental, is beautifully appointed and has every amenity you could want. In the kitchen unlike most rentals where you are lucky enough to find a tin opener and ample cutlery Minoustan has it all, from top notch food processors to cocktail shakers, pots and pans of every size. Cupboards full of crockery and utensils to meet every cooks need, serving dishes and platters. The sitting room is large very comfortable with a huge range of DVD's and after dinner reading or games. The beds are comfortable and there is good air conditioning/heating in every room. Bathrooms are spotless, lots of towels and power showers that leave the user feeling spotless. Excellent Wi-Fi. Outside is equally lovely, a real sun trap, mature gardens, gorgeous pool, dining and seating areas and a Plancha Grill. This is all lovely but it is the little extra personal touches that makes this villa stand out. Art work, charming furniture, scented candles, soap, tissues, local info and a very comprehensive guide book to how to use everything in the Villa and local amenities. The Villa is within very easy reach of Nice, Cannes, the Italian border and many other places to explore. Minoustan is the perfect place to relax and we cannot recommend it more highly. We will be going back!

Everything that was advertised and more!

This villa was everything that was advertised and more! Nothing prepared me for my first visit in 2013 and I was every bit as impressed this year. The home is immaculate, elegantly yet comfortably furnished and there is room for everyone to have some time to themselves - but lots of lovely conversation spots both poolside and in the house. Maryam is the ultimate manager, though she is rather more like a gracious hostess who welcomes her guests and then lets them get on with it! I cannot recommend Minoustan highly enough and am already planning the next visit - there are no drawbacks to the villa or to the neighbouring sights and villages. Enjoy!!

We will be back!

Tom and I wanted to send gushes and kudos and wow's and mille fois merci - we had such a wonderfully relaxing and elegant and comfortable time in your home.  We both loved every minute of it.  We will be back!

A wonderful stay in a lovely home and area of Nice

We spent a wonderful 7 weeks in Minoustan during May and June 2015. The weather was a pleasure during these months, getting steadily warmer. We didn’t need the heating and moved from a duvet in May to a blanket in June.

Minoustan is a delightful home, garden, and pool. The owner, who was there to meet us, has equipped the house with great taste and practicality. The interior decoration is aligned to the region with flavours of other countries around the world. Each bedroom has a bathroom, well supplied with linen and towels. The kitchen has everything, indeed much more than we had ever come across. The outside pool, seating and eating spaces are well designed and appointed. The Plancha is fabulous, much better than a barbecue. We employed the services of Stephanie each week to housekeep, she is a treasure. There is a brilliantly appointed supply of games, DVDs and CDs. We suggest ’To Catch a Thief’, which was filmed locally. We drove and took quite a lot with us in the car. Actually most of what we took we didn’t need as everything is included.

The village of Gattieres is about a 7 minute drive away and St Jeannet around 10 minutes.

This is one of the loveliest villas you can imagine.

Inside it is decorated exquisitely and kitted out with everything you could ever require. Outside it is idyllic, with a large eating area, sun loungers, pool, pretty gardens and beautiful views. There is an option to rent (and pay for) only half the villa, which just means closing off the downstairs bedrooms but leaving you with ample space at a reasonable price. The best thing of all, however, was the kind treatment by the owner. This was our first holiday abroad after having a baby, and we had a few questions in advance, all of which were answered fully and promptly by a reassuring and informative series of emails. There were also some lovely touches upon arrival - including the fact that the owner had bought a baby bath especially for our stay, after hearing from us that we were bringing our nine-month-old. The location is perfectly positioned for exploring Nice (15 min drive) and also Cannes and Monaco. It's close to the airport and picking up a car there is easy. You do need a car - even to get into the local village of Gattieres (which is lovely and has a great restaurant and well stocked supermarket). But you can get to the neighbourhood pizza take away by foot- just a couple of doors down! This sorted us out on our first night! We intend to revisit this villa and take the full house with some additional family or friends next time. We would recommend it to couples with babies like us but also it's definitely the kind of place we would have loved to have stayed before the baby too. A perfect mix of style and luxury and homeliness in a fantastic part of France.

All you can wish for

We have just returned from a half term Autumn break in Minoustan, and can only say that the house and gardens are truly all that one could wish for - as previous visitors have said, Maryam has really thought of everything to delight the eyes, the soul and the senses of her guests. The house and all its rooms are spacious, the decor fun, chic but restful, and it's all beautifully equipped with everything you could possibly need for the perfect holiday. You could spend your days by the pool, playing ping pong or boules and enjoying the views.  Or, as we did, you can visit the many nearby iconic villages which include St Paul de Vence, Antibes and Cap Ferrat. Not to mention Nice itself, whose lights sparkle like jewels below the villa at night. A wonderful place to stay - thank you Philippe and Maryam.

A stunning villa in a stunning location!

Our expectations were high from the photos, but on arrival we were blown away. Not only was it stylish, spotless and in a beautiful location, it literally had EVERYTHING you could possibly need on your stay. It was especially lovely that Maryam had thought about all of the extras that your 'standard' owner wouldn't. Such as games, films, candles etc. It all added to the experience. The outside space and views are simply to die for! Separate areas depending on what you are doing, all of which have that 'personal touch' making it extra special. Transport was easy and accessible, which allowed us to travel to the surrounding areas with ease.  I have no hesitation in recommending this villa to anyone and will hopefully come back in the future!

High specifications with aesthetic appeal

The villa is situated convenient to Nice but high enough on the Alps to command a splendid view down the wooded slopes to the town and out to sea. One is struck on arrival by the generous size of the swimming pool and the extensive patios that surround it and their flowery fringes. The utilities in the house are of the highest specification and particularly impressive is the roomy kitchen with its range of the most modern appliances. One can believe that that the articles of furniture have been chosen for their basic interest as well as their aesthetic appeal. The large garden that rises behind the villa has an interest of its own.The old stone terraces and the ancient olive trees are a reminder of when the land was once intensively farmed. The villa is a pleasant place for a family or two families to spend a relaxing time as well as being conveniently close to the mountain villages higher up where fresh provisions and excellent restaurants are to be found.

Great comfort in striking surroundings

Just back from a wonderfully restful week in the discreet comfort of Minoustan. A unique bringing together of graceful and practical; a beautiful and homely interior set in a dramatic hillside garden (stunning views over Nice). Centred around a gorgeous swimming pool, the garden threw up a host of other lovely surprises (boulodrome on next level/table tennis behind the house) as well as an array of beautiful and exotic plants that gave the gardeners lots to talk about. Breakfast on the balcony overlooking the valley down to Nice was a daily treat. We were three generations; all agreed that this is a wonderful place to spend a holiday. Hope to be back soon:)

A place to come back to again and again

This is the second year we are going to Minoustan. We liked it so much! The owners are for ever enhancing the place. The whole of the pool area has been re-done to provide a beautiful stone terrace. The deck chairs are brand new and there are even more videos and books. It gets better every year :)

Minoustan is a unique venue

We were looking for a relaxing, spacious, and sunny holiday house -- and in this regard it is just like the pictures. Nice airport is less than 20 mins away with plentiful flights from Gatwick or Heathrow. The combination of hillside views, a pool with sunny weather even in November, and a well-equipped house are much appreciated. Plus points include excellent A/C facilities, iPod/iPhone dock, extensive DVD and book library, and an amazing Samsung fridge! The house sits on two floors, with a beautiful breakfast terrace and a fabulously appointed kitchen. There are lovely restaurants nearby, and even Monaco is less than 30 minutes drive if you fancy a latte in place du Casino! The management are exceptionally attentive in making arrangements to request before your arrival, very family friendly indeed, and accommodating for toddlers (ours has special needs). We look forward to returning again, and recommend it very highly.

A wonderful place to be

Thanks again for everything. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday and found Minoustan a wonderful place to be.

A fabulous stay

A little oasis where you can enjoy you holiday. The house was far more than I ever expected. There are spectacular views especially from the swimming pool area and outside dining area. The house itself is spacious and beautifully appointed. All the small details including the linens are of excellent quality and not your normal run of the mill rental standard. The is a lovely village nearby with a fantastic bakery and best of all you are within 15 mins drive of the airport and from all the amenities in Nice. Spectacular location, fabulous house and fantastic landlords.....what more can you ask for.

The Riviera without the Bling!

I was a little apprehensive about holidaying on the Riviera: a bit too spoilt, too ostentatious, too in-your-face... Well I was seduced by how real this part of the Arriere Pays is: simple and friendly. Minoustan reconciled me with the Cote d'Azur. If you love the wonderful light, weather, food and culture of the South of France but don't aspire to brand worship you will love this place.

The perfect destination

We loved that it was tucked into the hills and so close to such a lovely little village (Gattieres) offering great dining, convenient food shopping and kind people. It was also very easy to get to Nice itself and we were able to explore a lot of the beautiful surrounding villages. The villa was in wonderful condition and was very comfortable, offering all of the amenities of home.  The pool area had beautiful views as did the outdoor dining area.  We really enjoyed cooking 'a la Plancha' as well!  We will definitely be returning to Minoustan in the future.

Sophisticated, in a perfect location, and with the most breathtaking view

A beautiful holiday home done up with the utmost class. All of the electric appliances are brand new and reliable, and the kitchen is spotless, filled with the best gadgets and nifty items to keep pesky household chores at bay throughout the stay. It's the perfect house for a romantic getaway, a long weekend with friends or a fortnight with the whole family pendant les grandes vacances. I have holidayed there in the peak of august heat as well as throughout the Christmas break, with a log fire burning away in the living room. It's a house that manages to cater beautifully to everyone's holidaying needs - no matter what time of year. It sits perfectly between the French Riviera hotspots - Nice, Cannes, and a little further, Monte Carlo and St. Tropez - and the alps! With a stunning view of both the beach and the mountains in the distance, it's difficult to find a box that Minoustan doesn't tick.

Beautiful idyllic location with a friendly atmosphere.

The home was spotless and beautifully furnished. I liked the patio that led onto the pool and the location provided some fantastic views. The supermarket was not far away along with a pretty little French village. It was an ideal location to visit the beach, Italy, Montecarlo and many more tourist spots. It was close enough to the airport, by bus or car, and I would definitely go again at any time of the year. Well worth a stay.
